This is a vintage 1955 photo of the works entered # 31 Maserati A6GCS of Giardini and Tomasi during the 1955 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The factory-entered car with chassisnumber 2082 retired from the race in lap 96 due to ignition problems.
After this race the car was sold to Venezuela and reimported into Italy in the early 1990's. It has ince then competed succesfully at the Retro Mille Miglia for several years.
Size: Approximately 22 x 16 cm or some 9 x 6 inches.
It carries the stamp of Geoffrey Goddard on the back.
The photo is in mint condition.

This is a vintage 1962 photo of the privately entered # 124 Maserati Tipo 60 of Emanuele Trapani and Bartolomeo Donato during the 1962 running of the Targa Florio on Sicily on May 6, 1962.
The car with an unknown chassisnumber retired from the race in lap 7 due to engine problems.
Size: Approximately 12.7 x 8.8 cm or some 5 x 3.5 inches.
It carries the stamp of a photographer in Palermo on the back.
The photo is in excellent condition with some minor discoloration in the middle as visible in the scan.

It was most probably issued by the Maserati factory but does not carry any hint towards the publisher and / or the photographer.
